The Red Cross is always there to help people affected by disaster and emergency situations. Along with Lowndes County, the Valdosta Chapter also serves Brooks, Echols and Lanier counties. When disaster strikes, this chapter offers various services to the approximately 150,000 people residing in these counties. If disaster strikes, will you be ready? Be Red Cross Ready is a program that teaches people disaster preparedness and education, which is available in Spanish and English. This past year, 275 people who suffered from fires were helped and over 2200 people were trained in CPR and First Aid classes. Through various programs, it is our goal to educate the community and encourage them to Be Red Cross Ready. Are you ready?
For nearly a century, the American Red Cross has prepared people to save lives through Health and Safety education and training.
